Dear Friends,
KWSI 100.3 Radio, your community’s progressive radio station, is moving the conversation forward in the Grand Valley with over twenty programs about environmental, scientific, political, and social issues. Plus, KWSI provides public service announcements for local events and resources, and the station sponsors events like Western Colorado Alliance’s Mountainfilm on Tour (November 16), Restoration for the Future hosted by RiversEdge West, and Colorado West Pride Festival. All of this, plus the Grand Valley’s most progressive music is available 24/7 at 100.3 on your radio dial or at kwsiradio.org. A well-informed and engaged community is essential, and the 2024 elections shall dramatically impact future generations. KWSI’s talk programs challenge listeners to think more critically about what’s going on locally and around the world. While other radio stations broadcast just what corporations and lobbyists want us to know, KWSI is moving the conversation forward with independent, progressive news and information.
KWSI needs the support of our community to continue being the informative, challenging voice that Mesa County deserves. KWSI is a nonprofit radio station operated by Community Resources for Action, Volunteerism & Education (CRAVE). Since the business is operated by volunteers, contributions directly support operating costs like licensing fees and utilities and maintain KWSI’s production studio and meeting place for progressive organizations.
As part of Giving Tuesday this December 5 and the season where people give to the people and things they love, we request your financial support. From now until December 5, Colorado Gives will be accepting donations statewide for nonprofits like ours. Donations made to KWSI/CRAVE between now and December 5 will be boosted by the Colorado Gives Foundation which will make an additional contribution to us based on the total amount of contributions we receive. We appreciate everyone who supports Mesa County’s progressive community radio station by listening, telling your friends about the station, volunteering, and making charitable donations. We wish you a wonderful holiday season and ask that you include CRAVE/KWSI Radio in your giving plans. Let’s keep moving the conversation forward!
In grateful solidarity,
Board of Directors
