More New Civics and Action Episodes!

In our fourth installment of Civics and Action, candidate for Mesa County Commissioner Tom Acker talks with us about the purpose and responsibilities of a county commissioner; and answers tough questions about environmental sustainability, immigration, gun violence prevention, low wages, our high cost of living, homelessness, and the 29 Road Proposal. (Tom’s opponent, Cody Davis, was scheduled for an interview with KWSI’s volunteers but did not attend.) Tune in every Wednesday at 7:00am and 7:00pm and every Sunday at 11:00am and 7:00pm until the election.

We also have a follow up episode to our April 21st broadcast “Proposition 127: Cats Aren’t Trophies”. This one broadcasts every Thursday at 7:00am, 7:00pm, and every Saturday at 11:00am until the election. Proposition 127 is a proposed law that would ban trophy hunting of mountain lions, lynx, and bobcats. Proposition 127 Campaign Manager, Samantha Miller, debunks the opposition’s campaign of misinformation with facts exposing the cruelty experienced by wildlife and hunting dogs as well as the negative environmental impacts of trophy hunting. Hosted by Sierra Club leaders Janet Wyatt and Eric Rechel.
